Less than 5% of all 20,000 members pass the criteria established for this recognition. The Accredited Quality Contractor program was launched in 1993 to provide an accreditation program, which publicly recognizes and honors those construction firms, which have documented their commitment in four key areas of corporate responsibility: Safety, Employee Benefits, Training, and Community Relations.

ABC’s National Safety Excellence Merit Award 2004
The ABC National Safety Award recognizes companies whose safety performance and programs are exemplary. Awards are based on data submitted via STEP PLATINUM applications and interviews with companies' safety directors and owners. Award categories are based on total work-hours in a calendar year and standard industrial codes. Seven man-hour categories by the three standard industrial codes (SIC) of 15, 16 and 17 for 21 awards.

ABC’s STEP Platinum Award
7 consecutive years
Established in 1989 by the ABC National Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Committee, the Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) program was developed and written by contractors, for contractors. The Platinum is reserved for members who receive a “Gold” rating for two consecutive years. We are only one of a few ABC contractors in Arkansas to receive this award. ABC and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, OSHA, signed a partnership that recognizes the ABC Platinum Safety Program as a benchmark standard for safety. ABC Platinum level safety members will be recognized as the best of the best in safety by OSHA.
