February 21, 2005 - National Safety Excellence Award

The ABC National Safety Award recognizes companies whose safety performance and programs are exemplary. Awards are based on data submitted via STEP Platinum applications and interviews with companies' safety directors and owners. Award categories are based on total work-hours in a calendar year and standard industrial codes. Seven man-hour categories by the three standard industrial codes (SIC) of 15, 16 and 17 for 21 awards.

The Excellence in Construction Awards competition is a nationwide program to publicly recognize quality and innovations in merit shop construction and to honor all members of the team: contractor; owner; and architect / engineer.

On February 21, 2005, Koontz Electric received one of the National Safety Excellence Merit recognitions for an outstanding safety performance and program.  Many thanks go out to our teams in the field for their safety conscious efforts and to our many clients for their trust in our team to perform to the highest of standards.  Also many thanks to our Safety Director, Gary Massey, for his hard work in making sure our safety program is implemented for each project that Koontz Electric takes on, and that each of our team members are kept up to date on their safety skills and education.
